Hi sterling the Top Hat Bentley
There isn’t much it came throw the trade I used it for 6 months wife didn’t like it
I was offered a profit on it so off it went I think it was used as Rep blower as the chassis is the same she needed a wood refurbish and got hot
It was a typical car that nobody loved and got the chop it happens a lot in the UK
One off’s are worth more than restoring the old lades
And I know it goes against the grain I some times agree with the ethics
Is it better to have a very good rep than a hep of junk?
Come on lads I have left the door open for you to give me some stick
Michael

Eh, that is a sad story! But I understand the dollars and cents of it.

In a way its similar to what happened with the cash for clunkers program in the USA last year. A lot of nice cars, or formerly fantastic cars (M5, 850i etc.) bit the dust because they weren't even worth $5,000 to a used dealer.

British Columbia has some cash for clunkers deal going on. Gov is also using the environment to guilt us into giving up cars older then 1995.

I like my 1991 Carrera 4 works well in snow! Plus it feels better built over modern water cooled 911's. On replica's, I would like to build up a 1970's regular 911 into an RSR. Same with a few older Bentley's, I'm just bored with everyone doing Le Mans bodied "blowers", etcetera. Id like to take a barn find decayed mid 1930's Bentley 3 1/2 Litre saloon and turn it into:

or

Id also consider making the “EMBIRICOS” style into a drop top. Metal over fiberglass.
