I'm replacing the summer tires on my 2016 Ghost. The dealer wants stupid money to mount and balance the new tires on the OEM rims. There's lots of local shops that say they can do the job for WAY lower cost.

The car is big and heavy (obviously) so I'm a little leery of the local tire or repair shops. Then again, this isn't brain surgery, either.

Thoughts/ideas/suggestions/experiences from anybody??

You can easily incur damage underneath your car if the lift/jack points are not recognized. You must educate whoever does the work.
If you have run-flat tires, that may be the reason for the high quote.
I would also educate yourself and the shop on how to remove any wheel trim.
You have to assume they know nothing except where the valve stem is located.

I have the same question. What exactly did they quote you for this work? I have the same car.
