Hi folks!

Just had a nice day today and wanted to share with others - after more than two months of 'winterization' I pulled the Spur out of the box 1st of March. Today we had a ride for a walk just here:

It shows a castle north of Munich.

Jim, that castle looks familiar - what is it called?
Servus Stirling!

This is "Schloss Schleissheim" north of Munich's city center. It's where
Microsoft Germany have their headquarter. Not in the castle but in that
small town north of Munich's borders. :) More about Bavarian castles:

Around Munich there are quite a few...

German castles are boring, most are more like large country houses and all of them seem to be in the same colour scheme :?

Now Dover castle, Rochester castle, Leeds, Bodium, the remains of Corfe; they are what I see as castles!

(I think it comes down to the translation of Schloss and Burg which both translate to 'Castle'. I think that Burg should translate to castle or fortress and that Schloss should translate to 'Chateau' (for want of an English word)!

Whatever else Neuschwanstein is, it isn't boring. Even Walt Disney thought so! Its like the new Phantom of castles - loud, in-your-face and definitive.
