Recently I started experiencing problems with my Corniche 2
I try to start the engine but nothing happens while I turn the key to acc. At first, I suspected a dead battery but then I realised that all the lights inside the car where turned on.
I kept trying turning on and off the key, and suddenly the car started functioning. By the way, I don’t know if it was a coincidence, the car started after I engaged the outside lights
The problem nevertheless reappeared.
I wander if it is a worn barrel and if this may be changed. Any suggestion?

Hi others will give better details but there is a plastic part that joins the key barrel to the ign switch that is constantly giving your symptoms it’s a cheap as chips part

I believe it is electrical problem with contacts in ignition switch or relays or just fuses or starter itself... I think that we cannot track this problem until it will be permanent. If you have time, try to inspect/clean/replace fuses or clean relays sockets... if you do not do that in some previous years.
