Hello Fellow Bentley and Rolls drivers.
I'm having difficulty starting my Mulsanne Turbo. Cold start is no problem.
but starting the car when the engine is warm is a problem, it'l only start after 3 or 4 times. Ignition. sparks and carburettor are in great shape.
Does anyone have a clue ? does it something have to do with the
chamber where the carburettor is inn ? I was thinking about a small ventilator built inn the Turbo tube , to help the fuel evaporate ?
Without the cover on the chamber the car starts perfectly....

All ideas are welcome

The solex carbs are can be a bit of a pain. I suggest having all your mixtures and timing checked. might just be running a bit lean. If you richen it up a bit it might cure your problems. I don't have much expertise with the solex so sorry I can't help more.

Obviously the chamber is there so that turbo pressure is around the carb'.

Of course at starting or idle there is no boost from the turbo so if there is a breather that is blocked then maybe it is not getting the air in.

Let me know how you get on.

Matt.
