Recently i bought a Silver Shadow 1, but was bad maintained. Already i changed contact points and spark plug cables; spark plugs looked ok. After that the car first ran great, but now start very difficult or start not at all.

My observation was: old ignition coil cannot produce sparks for the better 8 mm spark plug cables anymore and possibly died. (Fuelpump is working) I have ordered a new ignition coil + condensator already, bc it looked old and original and seems to loose strenght after 35 years ........

Is my observation wright? Anything else i can check in the ignition line for the starting problem?

Maybe your starter or ignition switch. Alternator may be it, but in reality the best diagnoses are given in person.

Seemed to be lack of fuel as the fuelmeter is not correct. This car is really thirsty :?
Also changed ignition coil + condensator and put in extra fuel Shell V-power...now this engine runs better than new :)

LPG installation is next project for sure :)
