I was following the Bentley oil strainer thread and decided to poke around the web. Here's a perfect example where a tech replaced the oil filter on a Audi based V-8 Bentley Continental. We know these cars are quite pricey and of course the repairs bills mirror that.

You must do your due diligence, not only with the modern era, but also with the classics. You can't teach stupidity folks. If you are thinking of purchasing a car you know nothing about, grit your teeth and get a factory trained tech to perform a lengthy inspection. If you cannot see ongoing maintenance invoices or perhaps you may be attracted to that shiny car on the auction site, think twice.
