Consider that your door has sagged a bit over time and needs to be adjusted or the problem continue. I still have the vision of my wife climbing over my Corniche driver's seat in front of a restaurant window - she was not happy. The Corniche has large/heavy doors. I found that with the door lock button in the open position and a very forcefull lift on the door handle it unlocked. I am waiting to get my Corniche back from the shop to see if the readjusted hinge has fixed the problem. Hopefully, I won't find out that it isn't at an inappropriate time - for the sake of my marriage!
