Serial N° Silver Cloud 3

Hello,

I am looking for explanation on the Serial No LSCX or LSDW or LSDW or SCX etc....... on silver cloud 3

I think the L is left hand drive and the s for standart (Right) but i am not sure and the other letters????????????

The letters, other than the first, in the chassis numbers of this period aren't "code" for anything in particular but denote when specific improvements to specific systems were made during the production run.

You can see these documented in the Chassis Number Booklet that Crewe put out in 1983 that covers all of the cars from the start of the company up through the introduction of true VIN numbers.

The RROC-Australia Post-War Technical Library is an absolute treasure trove of information on all things technical for Rolls-Royce and Bentley. The RROC-AustraliaTee-One Topics Archive is worth its weight in gold.
