Hello members, I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction here. I would like to locate my Gandfathers ( Arthur Youngman) old Silver Ghost. Apparently it was the first Rolls Royce sold in the state of Queensland, Australia around about 1913. It was used extensively as the main transport out to the family property Taabinga Station and apparently handled the poorly maintained roads very well.
I would welcome any information.

Well done SB, thankyou very much for your information. It looks like this may or may not be the end of the road for old Silver Ghost # 1730.
It is amazing that so much of the history has been recorded.

The information on the Chassis Register site indicates it may have been written off in an accident but then it may have survived and be living in Sydney.

Well I know a lot more than I did and the search continues.
I will post any progress I make on this forum ; it would be nice to have a photo of the old girl to post here one day.
Once again, thankyou. Michael.
