RPM fluctuation issues

bentley continental R 1998 - had its ECU recently replaced by and the car was finally after 5 months up and running , but from 2-3 days engine RPM is fluctuating a lot after a few mins of ignition. what should we be looking at for a fix? engine timing sensor and fuel filter were replaced earlier too. much thanks!
