Hello,

I've read a lot about ram removal, using a chisel and hammer and using a Zip gun chisel. What about reinstallation? Can these be reinstalled without the special tool? I'm trying to avoid buying another special tool. 1970 Shadow.

Another case of where the correct tool is needed. Bricklayer's use hammers and chisels. How do you expect to re-install the new part? Hammer and chisel?.. Buy the correct tool and then sell it, even for a slight loss. Your loss is your rental fee.

BTW the tool is only $100. I guarantee you will spend more than 2 hrs and do alot of collateral damage. So what's it worth?

I agree with Wraithman. It's just 100 bucks. Anyone carrying out this work themselves is saving $1000s, so buying the correct tool at that price and quality is a no-brainer.
