Hi Yes you should have 12v to pin 86 from the white and yellow on the windows lift relay ok
this then closed the relay to supply a ground to all windows.
Have you got the tsd4848 yet?
Mike
yes and on fig 18-7 shows relay 27&28 get the power from the same source but only 28 is hot, weather here bad 32% so not checking much have a 88 super 8 also so can ck the sockets for power, when it comes to british wiring i'm not the sharpest tack in the pack
Hi you can also test the relays out of the car, with a 12v supply, and a DVM, ( Multi meter) to check relay is throwing position, and making contact, Regards
hi mike. yes and 28 is window latch whatever that is. i took my ohm meter and probed the sockets 27 #87&85 grd. 30&86 dead # 28 87 power, rest dead. when it gets warmer going to probe the 88 as it all works. too many toys so i don't drive them much maybe less than a 1000 a yr each, don't know why i have them .seems, like it all started when i had to jump start it
Ouch! Never ever jump start a car!!!
A test lamp probe I find more useful than a meter for finding these type of faults. You are testing with ign on ?
Cheers Mike
Hi The latch relay keeps the window lift relay supplied when the ign is off but one of the front doors are open.
Could they make it more complex?
Link out the lift relay see if you get windows working ok
Mike
got up to 46 so i went to shop jumped 87 to 30 got windows now . now to see why it's not powering up. now my antibrake light is on. never a dull minute
Hi
Glad you've got windows working, my guess would be the diode open circuit ,I'm sure you've checked F1 B2.
Check what going in (blue/green) with whats coming out (white/yellow) on the diode board above the relays glove box side ok
whats antibrake? you mean ABS?
Mike
hi
diode board is nothing to worry about, standard diodes on there, cheap replacements.
don't know what the antibrake light is ,maybe someone over there can enlighten us?
Mike
hi mike found diode board ,hard to get too . everything works fine but widows what if i left jumper in relay with a fused link for a while to get out of shop, know what else it controls?. board hard to fine (ud26535) .again thanks for your help
Hi
The relay is just so the windows only work when the ignition is on, a safety device so if children are left in the car they can't operate them. so yes fine to get going.
You don't need to replace the diode board just the diode if faulty ok
