Hi, My name is Brad and I have always wanted a Rolls Royce. I have purchased a 1987 Rolls Royce Silver Spur but seem to have an issue with it. The issue I am having is with the automatic choke. It is very hard to cold start. will idle fine after start, Then when pressing the accelerator it will bog down and try to stall or die. Any ideas on how to correct?
Thanks Brad.

Your car would be fuel injected? If so check the cold start injector.

You will find chasing problems with parts to be expensive and frustrating. Best to diagnose to see if the part has failed in the first place. Generally RR used Bosch fuel injection systems and the parts are usually available especially from Mercedes vendors. You may have a warm up regulator issue if one is fitted..
BTW where located?

FYI, I would also be sure you have fresh gasoline in the car. If it has been sitting for a long time the ethanol fuel could easily and quickly go bad. Then you can have all kinds of issues like that.
