My 1990 RR silver spur ll has problem with fuel pump system . The fuse marked ENGINE MANAGEMENT B9 is literally burning up 25amp fuses. Previous owner ( a bit suspect ! ) said he replaced the fuel pump with a USED UNIT ! .
1/ MY CAR NOW HAS TWO PUMPS , is that right ? For a non turbo car......

2/ here is the vin #
SCAZN02D9LCX33196

3/ CAN ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP SYSTEM THIS CAR CAME WITH AND IS SUPPOSE TO HAVE ?
4/ LOOKING AT PICTURES, IT HAS THE DUAL ELECTRIC PUMPS , side by side with the small Accumulator underneath them ...... which looks to me like a TURBO SET UP ?
5/ IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THE DUAL PUMPS ARE PULLING TO MANY AMPS ?
6/ OR PERHAPS ONE IS BAD AND CAUSING THE PROBLEM .
7/ I HAVE AN , IN THE FUSE HOLDER AMP TESTER, WITH THE CAR RUNNING THE FUSE IS PEAKING AT 25 TO 28 AMPS ! SEEMS VERY HIGH .

8/ THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE

Steve, perhaps you are not aware that typing in all caps is akin to yelling in person. No need to do that. To determine which fuel pump configuration is correct for your car go to the Bentley Heritage website, plug in your VIN, and look up pumps in the fuel system. It will show you what pump or pumps your car was built with. www.heritage.bentleymotors.com
It is simple to test if one is pulling too many amps, just disconnect one then the other and measure the draw on each one running by itself.

Hi the pump or pumps are visible under the car near the left rear. Check for loose connections including where the fuse pushes in as many of mine were loose and a bad connection can cause heat and amp draw

Guy, as a new member, please take a few minutes to read through "Instructions for navigating the site" and "How to reply to a discussion thread"in the FAQ section, link here: FAQ. There are other topics there that you may find informative. Please note also that it is not necessary to quote a previous post in your reply if you are following the train of thought in the thread, it just clutters up the thread unnecessarily. Simply start typing your reply in the dialogue box below the last post where it says "write your reply" , do not click on "reply"(which adds the previous post as a quote) unless it is absolutely necessary to maintain continuity in the thread. Thanks, Jim.
There was a technical bulletin to raise the fuse to 30A
