Unlike Volkswagen owners, Rolls-Royce and Bentley owners don't have an independent service shop on every corner.

The links page lists several independent operators, mostly in the UK. If you know of a good shop that we should know about, post it here. Likewise, if you're somewhere in the nether regions and can't find good service, post your request here and maybe a fellow enthusiast can point you in the right direction.

Good repair shops are fairly hard to find in the America's. With owning and growing up having family vehicles being; Porsche's, Mercedes, Jaguar, even the odd BMW, etcetera. On those makes its hard to find reliable and trust worthy shops. Even the authorized dealers in these makes are less then stellar, BMW being the worse. Rural area's be prepared to drive into major cities for service. The biggest problem in both The United States and America Jr., is finding decent employee's. Ultimately, if you want things done properly, you'll have to do it yourself. Key to limiting costs on higher end European and English luxury vehicles is preventative maintenance. My biggest problem has been things not being changed when asked, billed for it, but defiantly not changed. Oil, fuel and air filters mainly. Other major problem, is minor things that sound's serious and can be easily confused to be something bigger. More shops are dishonest and go for the more serious sales pitch and just repair the minor. Example: had a vacuum line leak in my 928 transmission. Almost every shop wanted to replace the entire transmission with a new or rebuilt. Took the car into a non foreign transmission shop and told them what was wrong. Turns out was so easy they did not charge for this. With all repair shops, have an idea what your car needs before you go!

[Last Edit: 7/9/2013 to correct resources file URL]

I started another thread earlier this morning to share the file of resources I've compiled since 2006.

It's rather US-centric, but does include some UK and Australia facilities.

I am more than willing to add any international resources that anyone would like to send. Preferably ones that you have had a direct and positive experience with, but even others if you have reason to believe they are good resources.

Click:

RR & Bentley Parts, Repair, Restoration & Other Resources Compilation on Google Drive

to download the PDF version of the file. This file is updated on a regular basis. If you downloaded it previously it probably has had a number of additions since then.

I suppose my point of view may be somewhat slanted but the company I work for, Sport and Classic Car Company in Houston, Texas, has worked with RR and Bentley cars and has supplied parts for them since 1976 in Houston, Texas. Our website is www.britishcarpartsco.com. The site contains a lot of specific RR and Bentley information. We stock many parts for Silver Clouds, Silver Shadows and Silver Spurs that dealers no longer keep. We supply many dealers, shops and individuals with rebuilding services for many parts that are no longer available like Corniche hood (top) cylinders.

i would recommend ENKAHNZ vehicle body specialist in the UK, they specialise in customizing and repairing high profile cars. i have seen some fantastic supercars in there and the workmanship is to a very high standard. i recently had my bentley continental gt customised by them, the bodykit was imported from usa, with 22" alloys with a 30mm drop, it was all factory fitted by enkahnz and slightly customised. the finish was jaw dropping... they are currently working on my rolls royce phantom. its hard to find a good service shop that take pride in their work.

Hello my name is Glenn and I am the Manager of a Rolls Royce & Bentley service, sales and full restoration facility (Moyer Motorcars). Our body shop well established in 1987, has worked on vehicles that have been involved in RROC (Rolls Royce Owners Club) gatherings, working on many pre-war and post war vehicles, including helping the infamous 1934 Bentley Derby B136CR (Hannibal) stay on the road with a 150k+++ miles, and currently restoring his Keeper's 1953 R-type.
We have disassembled so many Clouds, Brooklands, Spurs, r types, and Spirits over the years that our basement is filled with parts and some of the rarity trims and hardware that are to normal people considered insignificant but to the Rolls and Bentley community is basically UNOBTAINIUM!
We have a full service shop to helps diagnose and maintain them to keep them on the road, we are interested those that want to drive and enjoy theirs. We have a pick up and delivery service with our enclosed trailer, a flat bed and a double flat bed,
We also have about 60 vehicle in our enclosed storage for sale, including Winston Churchill's Bentley and two Pinnafarina Carmargue

I currently have my car (1996 Continental R) in for brake and suspension overhaul at RR&B Garages in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, UK - this is the first time I have used them, but the overall impression is this is an extremely professional outfit, very pleasant to deal with and competitively priced when compared to other established RR and Bentley specialists. They are also very interested in complete transparency as to costs producing very thorough quotations before work commences, broken down with individual labour and parts costs for each element of the work so if you are on a budget, you can pick off more pressing elements and do them, and stem the cost. They properly understand these cars, and are only interested in doing a proper job - the brakes are complete and I went and looked at the car on the ramp, and very impressed with the quality of work and attention to detail.

They also do some very serious restorations of older cars and had a Phantom V in the workshop when I was there, previously owned by, I believe, someone ultra-famous, having a complete restoration. Also there was a Bentley S2 Continental 2dr on one of the ramps, which was nice to see as my father had an almost identical one in the 70's.
