Can anyone recommend a suitable coolant for my 1988 Silver Spur. Ideally looking for an alternative to the specified ICI007/400F listed in the Service Schedule.

Thanks all.

Zerex G05, used on alloy engines in Mercedes Benz since the early 80's is a good coolant. You can also go with BMW blue coolant (now also used by Mercedes Benz) if you plan to do extended coolant changes. Or any coolant (green, prestone etc) provided that you change it more often.

Classic blue Mercedes antifreeze suggested by Allabassi is great, I use it in all my cars. Make sure to use it with 50% demineralised water.
To be replaced absolutely every 3 years maximum.

Anyone know if Zerex G05 includes 2-EHA? I don't 'think' it does looking at the ingredients, but am not sure if there are other ingredients in here that might be derivatives. Any ideas would be good.

i don't know. But i've used it for yonks in my old Mercedes Benz and it's very highly regarded. FYI Napa was doing a special on G05 for $13.99/gallon. I'm not sure if it's still going but I bought 5 gallons to put on the shelf.
