I have a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow but no papers. Where can I check his history by vin number?

You can get factory build info, priced by the page, from Hunt House. It will not reflect ownership history. That info is best gathered from the owner and others before you if possible. Most motor vehicle offices will not release info due to privacy laws.

Which is a really, really sad development. I got tons of history on SRH33576 from the UK DVLA in 2006 that I could not ever have gotten elsewhere, including owner names. I doubt I could get same now.

I really didn't care about who owned the car, per se, so the name/address information could have been omitted/redacted as far as I am concerned. But knowing where it was (as in city and country), when, was very helpful.
