Dear community. I think its good to start a new thread now. I fixed the heater valve and the new bowden cable is moving the valve when I turn the lower wheel after I replaced one of the two modules that was broken. Now my question is how to proceed without the test box ?
I can hear servos on the right move when I turn the upper wheel - but I dont get the temperature to really change. I think I dont get the "mixing" flap to move to allow cold air to mix in..
That would be my next step to check before fine tuning.

The pic in the service manual is blurry.. where is that flap? behind the heater matrix? under the dash?.. how can I check if that is moving?

also.. the fascia doesnt work anymore. I never get air through them that was def. different before I started my project.

also I dont get any air through the thing under the radio no matter if I move the lever switch up an down ?

any suggetions ? thank you.. getting there!!

Follow the test procedure in the workshop manual. You can do every check without the test box save setting the potentiometers which is not going to be an issue, they will likely be close enough. There is a diagnostic tree to follow in the AC section, following it will pinpoint the faults.
