The first picture is the best thing you can do with a Spirit!

Only joking (the Spirit is not my favourite shape) you've done a wonderful job. I saw a Spirit on German ebay that was in Poland and looked worse than your top picture!

Is that the corner of a Spitfire in the first picture?

The four-door convertible would be the ultimate attention-grabber, but how do you deal with body-flex? Is the chassis stiff enough to withstand chopping the top?

Yes Henry it was a triumph, The back end was crushed, I think it's been sold by now, about two years ago now. Salvage can be the easy way to find deals sometimes...

and on the convertable there is a good bit of bracing done behind and under the package shelf and in the center post and under the car. The doors have to be modified to allow the window trim to retract with the glass, else you have and old lincoln continental convertable effect where the trim sticks up all the time. A great.deal of work, but I think most Rolls lovers will agree is very worthwhile....
