Shadow_scott Thanks lads.

Never considered it might be a fake, but it would make sense with the odd size on the base. I'll get a better look over the weekend when I get back to the car.

Cheers,
Scott

jake66 I believe the way to tell if it is the proper Spirit of ecstasy is to look at the fingers and toes. They are clearly defined in the original ones. Should be easy to count the fingers and toes, if not, then the chances are it is a copy mascot.

Jake.

That's a strange one
Just cropped a photo of mine for comparison
You can clearly see the diameter is significantly larger and fills the plinth

Could be quite rare or no doubt one of the other guys will come along and give us the answer, probably at some point the mascot was stolen from the car and this is the replacement

Spirit of ecstasy identification

Looking for a little assistance identifying the car my spirit of ecstasy is from.

I thought it looked larger than the others I viewed before buying my car, didn't think much of it at the time.

I downloaded the size chart and pulled some sizes. It is quite a bit larger than a normal Shadow mascot. Seems close to the size of a 1918-25 SG, but the 1.490" measurement from the base doesn't tie in with that.

The signature is too faint to make out, and I can see bronze where a tiny bit of the plating has flaked off.

Attached pics with the measurements I took.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Scott
