Hey Rob, I just noticed I had a private message here from someone else and saw this one from a year ago too. Did I not reply? I don't see where I did and I apologize for that. I'm sure you have since found that the Four seasons 33215 works. Jim.

    Hi,

I'm in Baldwin, Long Island and am looking for an independent mechanic for my '89 20,000 series Silver Spur, as the dealer is psychotically expensive (and too far).

I just got a new pair of brake spheres, as there are not enough pumps of the pedal after shutdown before the lights come on. I don't know how tight the spheres are on there, but assuming I can take them off without breaking a chain wrench, I can put the new ones on.

My problem is that I'm guessing that even though there is a bleeder screw on each valve body, for some reason I'm expected to have to bleed the brakes anyway. Somehow, I guess that bleeder screw won't do the job for some reason.

So, I don't have a lift, and bleeding would be too complicated for me without one.

Billy Lang/Westminster Auto in Inwood NY is unavailable to me anymore, so is there anyone else around South Shore Nassau County who knows how to bleed the brakes for a sane price?

    Thanks,

    Larry

The entire reservoir , brackets, lid and hardware were done in electroless nickel. It is a very common finish and brake fluid will not attack it. I would recommend installing all cover screws and use old fittings in the line ports. I removed the instruction plate on the lid and have correct rivets for it.

Hi, just a quick query on a post of yours. Was it supposed to say electroless nickel? It is a nice finish and guess it's electroplated, but please let me know.

    Many thanks, Paul. ]
