Thanks for looking for me, I was thinking of going for about a month and would rather be portsmouth or poole to avoid going anywhere near london.
just had a look and I'm 166 miles from poole, 171 miles from portsmouth and 200 from newhaven but thats uses the m25.
    Cheers

Also, I get the impression they generally dont sell quickly, is that right? Over my time looking, i do see the same cars sat there for a long time. Do you think most sellers ask for too much money, or is it there just is not much market for them currently?

Mike, thanks for the kind message. sorry I only just noticed it, as i didn't receive a notification.
I am still browsing at Bentley and Rolls online. They all look so nice on the screen, but i do need to start going to see some in the flesh to get a reality check. I did have close look at a couple at a local classic car show. 2x Silver Shadows, which are completely different cars of course, but was nice to get up close.
There isn't really any rush at all to buy one, but its a break through to finally admit to myself i do really want one, probably more than any other car at present. There is some cash in the bank, and more importantly, i have received the blessing from the Boss Lady! I can make space in the garage to keep it dry too. So most of the sign's are good. Only thing lacking is time to go and see any right now. Theres even on 10 miles down the road in Spalding, but not ventured over yet.
Thanks for the tip off on Flying Spares/ Turbos. I will check it out.

    Hi Mike,
When I was in my early 60's I decided to retire to France. Took a lot of holidays touring round various parts until I found the town of Terrasson on the Vezere River, which is about 70 miles South of Limoges, Looked around the surrounding villages and found a suitable house for sale within sight of, and walking distance of the town,
At 65 years took my retirement and within a week left England.
My pensions are paid directly into the bank here, and with the gradual change in the exchange rate, It has got better.
I find the cost of living much better here, the way of life is slower, except on the Autoroutes !
The climate is much to my liking, but with the high temperatures this month, I try to stay in the shade. The climate control on the Silver Spirit and on my Renault Megane get well used.
    Best regards
