Wiring to door open switch?

Before I start digging, does anyone know where the wiring for the rhr door open switch comes from - from above or below the switch I mean? I’ve got some bad wiring coming to that switch and I’d like to repair it. Function of the courtesy light works fine on other doors and it’s not the switch

There is a harness along the floor pan . Peel back the carpet and it's there on both sides, front to back.

Also, before you start digging around in the wiring, are you certain it's not the lock solenoid? It's definitely worth taking off the door card and noodling around inside the door itself and checking what's getting juice in there first.
