I am very glad I can get in my old Shadow and give it the beans regardless of the temperature of the engine. Having to be a bit careful with the accelerator on later high BHP engines, until they have warmed up, is not for me.
Makes me wonder how long it will be before cars that have had the head gaskets changed once, will need it again. No surprise that good Bentley Turbos can be had for less than £10,000 and falling.
A bit sad really that a long known issue was never corrected and probably never will be now.
