Irish Owners for a meet up

I don't know how many members are in Ireland but it would be nice to meet up and show our cars.
With this beautiful weather the cars always look better.
Any ideas on how we could find our how many Irish are on the forum & how we could make contact with other owners in Ireland

Hi Kevin, I would be interested. If you need help organising a gathering let me know although I haven't yet met any Irish members other than yourself. I'm off to Goodwood Festival of Speed with some of the Aussie members next week. My Silver Shadow is undergoing gearbox cooler line replacement at the moment and I'm hoping to have her ready for the trip to Goodwood but I'm experiencing snags removing the old lines because of accessibility issues to the screws at the retaining clips. Hopefully I'll have her ready in time otherwise another form of transport will have to be used. Regards, Larry

The Terenure motor show in Dublin is usually a good day out if you wanted to use an established show as a base.
Early July so normally good weather.
Think it's actually this Sunday 7th july.
I'll be there but unfortunately the Bentley will have to wait until next year.
If anyone is there I'll wander over and introduce myself

I'm just back from The Goodwood Festival of Speed where I attended a meet with some members of the Australian Forum, a great time was had by all. Unfortunately I missed the Terenure show. Maybe if we could meet at Terenure in 2020 it could become an annual gettogether?

Not that I'm aware of Stog but Terenure Classic Car Show in 2020 sounds like a good venue to arrange a meet up.

Hi Kevin, The Goodwood Festival of Speed meeting was a great venue and an enjoyable time was had by all. Some details and photos can be found on the Aussie Forum under idle chatter, topic "Together we will meet again in 2019". An Irish gathering would be great as it would be much more convenient for people in this neck of the woods. Summertime would obviously be the best season as the classic cars would be more likely to travel. I'm thinking that Terenure would be a good venue but there is also a good show at Trim castle every summer and there's another show at Swords which would be convenient to Dublin airport for any foreign members who would be welcome to join us for a gettogether. There are so many venues to choose from it's difficult to decide what's best but I'll see if I can compile a list and see if a consensus can be reached. I'd like to see your gas set up, will give you a shout the next time I'm travelling to near your locality. I'm half thinking of getting a Mercedes-Benz 500 SEL which has a V8 and I think it might be an ideal prospect for a gas conversion. Regards, Larry.
