New 1990 Spirit Owner Manchester UK

Hi I've owned my Spirit 8 days and am becoming well versed in the quirks of PMC ownership. Car in Ebony with original paint, and pin stripes, 45,000 miles from new. I've already driven further than the car has been in the last six years.

My wife and two children love the car, every trip is an event. We intend to use use it regularly for local shows, picnics, Sunday lunch etc but will draw the line at salted wet roads.

This forum has already helped tremendously before even joining. I'll post updates as I go but the immediate list is:

No boot / glove box key.
Central locking does not lock or unlock with key or remote from either door.
Remote light works but alarm does not, I think related to a mystery pink wire in the boot.
Boot interior light assembly missing.
Alloy pipe on top of a/c compressor cracked.
Dashboard clip lug broken.
Runs cool 75 degrees or so.
Autoride fault at low speed.
Tyre side walls not the best.
Front disks not great
Brake fluid low light.
Ticking from exhaust or manifold when cold.
Passenger Seat ECU.
Passenger door will not lock with key or plunger.
Cruise control not working.
Cigar lighter fuse blows instantly.
Drivers seat too high for me, I'm 6' 7" looking to amend the seat rails or cut and lower the chassis mounts.

Made some progress already while enthusiasm is high, fixed the dashboard with second hand clip from flying spares, obtained new correct thermostat, gasket and antifreeze, (not fitted yet) removed seat ECU and sent off for repair. Ordered boot light assembly from Westminster and had a specialist weld the alloy air containing pipe. Topped up the brake circuit.

Anyway hello from the the rain in the UK.

Welcome to the forum Spirit 90. The ticking sound when cold could be the No.2 hydraulic brake pump, they often tick for a few minutes when building up pressure and quieten down afterwards. If you place the end of a long screwdriver (or something similar) on top of the pump and place the other end at your ear you should be able to diagnose if that's where he ticking noise is emanating from.

Update,

New second hand boot light assembly fitted.
Passenger seat ecu back from the menders, fitted, works fine.
Regassed air con with R12 worked fine then packed in, holding pressure so I think more R12 is needed.
