Hello from West Wales

Hello from Pembrokeshire, joined this forum a couple of weeks ago as a preliminary to purchase. I was encouraged by the openness of this forum as opposed to others which were 'members ONLY!! etc. which always puts me off. Anyway I should be picking up my Turbo R red label in 2 weeks so I'll soon get to know what it's all about first hand so to speak, looking forward to the new challenges ahead!
Anyone else in my neck of the woods feel free to get in touch.
Graham

Graham,

Welcome to the forums and to "the ownership experience" for a car from Crewe.

In addition to rollsroyceforums.com I would suggest that you also have a look at the
RROC-Australia Discussion Forums. You do not need to be a member of the RROC-Australia to either read or post to those forums and the knowledge base there is very deep.

Thanks for the welcome and the link to the Australia site which I've seen mentioned a lot on the forum, once I get home and get back on a decent internet speed I'll be furiously downloading from their site.
Regards
Graham

I try to keep all my cars exercised regularly, I've got 3 on the road at the moment and the Bentley will make 4 so I'll have to set up a rota!!
Others are 1970 TR6, 1980 380SL and 1990 Golf GTi, then there's the 1973 E Type in restoration as well so I've got plenty to keep me busy when I'm not at work.

Hi Grayham,
Your worst than me , ive a 2cv, (really nice to look at) a Lomax (thats a 2cv engine but with a glass fibre sports body & it'll move)
And the Bentley eight.

A golf and 6 classic motor bikes,

So like you all this little lot and the gardening ive lots to do,

"But it's a great life and all self made" I never was one for boozing it all up the wall, not when the classics are about

The Lomax sounds like fun, I remember them, bit like the Morgan 3 wheelers, but they never seemed to catch on so I guess quite rare as well.
No I like a beer as much as most people but usually after a day in the garage tinkering or in the garden if the weathers nice!! with a BBQ
BTW I didn't mention the Triton and the BMW R100T which are in there as well!
So yes lot's to keep me busy and out of the pub.
Regards
Graham

Hi Grayham,
Your going to think im pulling your leg (but im not)
Ive also got the BMW RT IOO? it'S A maron with the panniers,
I bought this new and its never let me down,
Now the others so you can check to see if we've any the same,

(1) BMW RT 100
(2) triumph bonni, 1965
(3) triumph tiger cub
(4) AJS 500cc single 1952 "i think I'd need to check the log book ref the date
(5) BSA Road rocket 650cc
(6) LE 200 VELOCETTE ( like new , I had it fully restored)
And ive an old BSA fixed wing, its a push bike with a very small engine
34cc i think,

Now all these bikes except the fixed wing (that was given to me as a chuck it in the skip for me)
Are all in good condition and now ive almost finished doing this place up my idea is to spend a lot more time with the bikes,
Im very lucky in that when we bought this old french farm house it has a huge barn and a couple of stables, so ive space for storage and a place to work, plus the dogs have a good warm stable for them to live in.

So grayham do any of these tick your box ref having the same?

My mrs goes mad if i look at any old bikes/tractors/ Prams, even those little kids peddle cars of years long gone,
I look and say to her "Did you see that!"
And the reply is "No" your not having any more junk you've enough as it is,

A bit like being back at home when i was 6yrs and i stripped my little brothers cycle to bits,
