I was polishing up the hubcaps on my SCII and found on 2 of hubcaps the finish has become rater dull, especially in the outer valley of hubcap and wondering how best to polish them up (I used Mothers Chrome polish)
are the hubcaps nickel plated, or can they just be machine polished?
also how do you remove the paint/beauty rings for repainting? are the clips that hold the paint ring on (in the back) reusable?

The wheel discs (UG4363) are chromium plated. The painted rings (UG1559) need to be removed for painting. The spire nuts (UG4158) need to be removed carefully. If they are not damaged during removal they can be reused. These are sheet metal locking nuts with tabs. If you don't break the tabs you should be OK.
