If I'm not mistaken the headliner in my '62 is wool ??

It is in good shape, but could use a GOOD cleaning..

what product(s) do I use and/or not use to clean it up a bit?

I would suggest a dry foam, either wipe or spray (Valet is a good one). The problem with the wool is two fold. Firstly, on the later models the change from tacks and staples was made to Adhesive and on most wool headlining's where adhesive was used (especially smokers cars) there will be visible marks where it has been applied this is because the lining has been effectively sealed on the inside with the adhesive application. I have not yet seen any cleaner which will get the lining clean enough to eliminate this witnessing. Second, if you choose to use a water based solution, do not soak the lining, it WILL shrink and give you more probs than you bargained for.
Hope this helps. Col.

Hi Colin
Thanks for your input
Love to see some Photos of your car
Is the RR back on the road?
I use to have RR 1 loved it but Wife didn’t like the steering (to light)
Moved to Bentley’s and love them have the RT at present
I went for this as I don’t like the Arnage Back end looks like a Rover 75
The Wife loves to drive it which is good (no Nagging)
What is your Job at Bentley?
Michael

In the U.S/Can we have a simular product. Turtle Wax markets Oxy power out carpet cleaner. I also use it in my house. Works the best.
