rolls and bentley substitute parts

i have found this site to be very helpful, it seems that many parts are available at a significantly lower cost if you have the correct part numbers, and they are posted here!

Best regards,
Mark

Hi All
I have just fitted replacement distributor caps to my Bentley that has twin distributors.
The part I found for 18.81 instead of 50.92 EACH! was beru 404330020 the same as a Porsce turbo, from carparts4less.
They actualy look better made than the bosch one!

And I have changed the air filter for WA6230 4.93 from ebay instead of 17.40! also looks better!

Saving a total of at least 76.69 , probably double that for dealer prices!

Cheers
Mike

Mike,

If you're looking for information regarding fully functional alternatives to Crewe Original parts, definitely download the RR & Bentley Parts, Repair, Restoration & Other Resources Compilation and look over the section dedicated to the SZ cars. I've collected quite a few of these over the years.

I've added your two finds as of this morning.

Brian

Whilst, for brake parts I would tend to buy the Bentley branded ones (Yes I know, they are made by one of the big manufactures under contract etc etc and it's not worth paying for them etc etc, but I have my reasons)

However I recently bought this:

http://www.autoairconparts.co.uk/car...7-to-2013.html

which is identical to this:

http://www.flyingspares.com/shop/rol...r-ud74024.html

!!!

It's 1996 - but the bracket is a friction design which clamps around the receiver drier - hence there is no bracket fixed to the drier itself.
